We have been having some online seminars in Indore, most importantly on Vaisnava Etiquette, three days, and continuously for seven days Srimad Bhagavatam Katha on Maharaja Citraketu and Vrtrasura. We also hold regular classes by different devotees. Devotees are also well-engaged in cooking and packaging Prasad, while maintaining social distancing, for 600 people daily. This is in coordination with the local Government authorities. This Prasadam is full meals of Rice , Sabji, Daal and Chapattis , sometimes Puris. We also attended Meetings on Zoom of three important Iskcon India administrative bodies: 1) The North India Divisional Council 2) The Iskcon Indian Administrative Council 3) The Indian Bureau The inmates of the Ashram are carrying on the deity worship and other programs as they were prior to Lockdown. I, personally as well as several other devotees took a course on Online preaching organised by Shabda Hari Das with inputs from Iskcon International Communications Director Anuttamma Prabhu. This was a great, indispensable webinar for 5 weeks with plenty of assignments, and it has helped us to develop online preaching skills. We encouraged devotees to especially maintain higher hygiene standards and exercise for health, within allowed limits. Overall, we felt that we were as busy and occupied, if not more, during the Lockdown than before it!! Praying for the mercy of all Vaisnavas, and hoping that all are well, Thanks, Your servant, Mahaman Das |
